Sport Fishing Schedule

The following schedule will give you an idea of what species are available during our fishing season:

June 7 - JUNE 20

Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Trophy Size Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden and Grayling fishing are excellent during the early part of the season.  A few King Salmon may be caught in the second and third weeks of June when the run is staring to build.

JUNE 20 - JULY 20

The Bristol Bay Salmon Run develops quickly with King Salmon entering the river systems first.  Every tide brings new groups of fish into the fresh water of the Naknek River.  In addition, fishing for all the other species of fresh water fish is excellent at this time.  A million Sockeye Salmon, along with another 500,000 Pink Salmon (in even numbered years) will have entered the system by July 20th. 

JULY 20 - AUGUST 14

A second wave of late run Kings begins steadily moving into the Naknek River during the last week of July.  All other fresh water fish are abundant and biting at this time, too.  The Silver Salmon species enter the rivers and streams in force by August.  You can expect truly great mixed bag fishing from the middle of June to September.
